Gas Furnace Installation

We install gas furnaces in homes across the region, replacing a unit that has failed, cracked a heat exchanger, or reached the end of a long service life. Most homeowners call us after a heating repair visit shows the cost of another fix no longer makes sense, or after the burners short cycle through a cold snap. Call us and we will measure the home, look at the existing gas line and flue, and give you a written plan before anything comes out.

What a gas furnace installation actually involves

We start by sizing the new furnace to the house rather than matching the old nameplate, because ductwork and insulation change over the years and an oversized unit short cycles. Then we disconnect and remove the old furnace, adapt the plenum and return, connect gas piping and venting, wire the controls and thermostat, and set up the condensate route where the design calls for one. Before we leave we fire the unit, check combustion and airflow, and walk you through the settings you will actually touch.

What we check and what we install

We check the gas supply and piping size, the flue or vent path, the electrical circuit, and the condition of the duct connections at the furnace. Coastal homes often show corrosion at the cabinet, the drain pan and any shared cooling coil, so we look there too. We install the furnace, a new filter rack sized to the airflow, a fresh thermostat if the old one cannot run the equipment, and the safety controls the unit requires. Anything failing outside the furnace we point out before work starts.

How we decide replacement is the right call

We recommend replacement when the heat exchanger is cracked, when parts for the model are no longer made, or when the furnace has needed repeated furnace repair visits in consecutive seasons. Age matters, but condition matters more. If a single control board or igniter will get you several more winters, we will say so and do the heater repair instead. If you smell gas at any point, leave the building first, call 911 or your gas utility from outside, and then call us.

Gas Furnace Installation — quick answers

How long does a gas furnace installation take?

Most straight swaps take one day. Jobs that need new venting, gas line changes, or duct modifications at the plenum can run into a second day, and we tell you which one you are looking at before we start.

Can I keep my existing ductwork and thermostat?

Often yes. We inspect duct connections, sizing and sealing at the furnace, and we test whether your thermostat can control the new equipment. If either one limits the furnace, we explain the option rather than quietly replacing it.

Does a new gas furnace affect my air conditioning?

It can, because the blower in the furnace moves air for cooling too. We match the blower to your cooling equipment so airflow stays correct, and we check the coil and drain pan for corrosion while access is open.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form with what you hear, smell or feel. Warm air, ice on the lineset, a humming outdoor unit. That detail helps us load the right parts before we drive out.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

We check the thermostat, the air handler, the condenser and the electrical side, then measure what the system is actually doing. You get a plain explanation of the fault and the repair options before we start.

  3. Step 3

    We repair and verify

Once the repair is done we run the system and confirm temperature split, drainage and airflow at the vents. If a part is on order, we tell you the timeline instead of leaving you guessing.

Why homeowners call us

  • We plan for salt airCoastal humidity and salt eat coils, contactors and cabinet screws. We look for corrosion during every visit and treat it as part of the diagnosis, not an afterthought, so a repaired system does not fail again in the same spot.
  • Built for constant runtimeFlorida systems run most of the year, so bearings, capacitors and drain lines wear faster than the manual suggests. We size repairs around that reality and point out the components likely to be next in line.
  • Old houses and new onesIsland properties often hide ductwork in tight, damp spaces, while tract homes tend to have short, undersized returns. We have worked both and adjust the approach rather than forcing one standard fix.
  • Clear talk, no upsell theatreWe tell you what failed, what it takes to fix it, and whether repair or replacement makes more sense for the age of the equipment. If a repair will hold, we say so and get on with it.

  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
